Julie Hardie MA (Hons) CPsychol
Julie is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who offers assessment and psychological therapy to people with a range of psychological difficulties and her practice is influenced by well evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy and mentalization based therapy (CBT, IPT and MBT).
Some of the most common problems that people seek help for from a Psychologist include anxiety (including panic, phobias, social anxiety and post-traumatic stress), stress, low mood (including post-natal depression and bipolar disorder), low self-esteem and poor confidence, relationship difficulties, bereavement and poor body image.
In her practice Julie takes time to work with people to understand the nature of their difficulties, how the problems have come about and what they would like to be different. This process of assessment guides the type of psychological therapy that she may go on to recommend to help a person. This is a highly individualised process that she seeks to make as collaborative as possible.
